Dinner planner for families · iPhone
Dinner, decided, from the meals your family already eats.
Kangaroo Kitchen fills your week from your own recipe box, keeps every pick inside the rules of your table, and puts quick meals on your busy nights. Then it turns the plan into one grocery list you both share.

It decides
The cooking is the easy bit. Deciding is the job.
Tap Fill my week and every empty night gets a dinner from your own recipe box, each with a plain reason. Meals you haven't had in a while come up first, and nothing repeats inside two weeks if your box allows it. Your part is accept or shuffle.
The rules of your table
Every idea has to pass everyone. Tell it once.
Four quick questions set up who you cook for: how many people, allergies, diets, and the things nobody will eat. We never suggest a meal with an ingredient on your allergy or diet list, even when your box is small. Matching works on ingredient names, so always check labels.
The week you actually have
Practice until seven? That night gets a quick one.
Mark a night busy with one tap, or let your phone work it out from your calendar. Busy nights only get meals that fit: short hands-on time, no-cook, or the slow cooker. Your calendar never leaves your phone. All we save is a number of minutes for the night.
One plan, one list
Both parents, the same plan, one trip to the store.
Your partner joins with a code and sees the same week. The grocery list adds up the whole plan, scales each dinner to your head-count, and tucks away what your pantry already covers. Check-offs are shared, and the list works in the store with no signal.

What it leaves out, on purpose
No invented recipes
Every recipe is your own, or a real published one you saved to your box.
No feed to scroll
It plans from the meals your family already eats, not a stream of new ones.
No pantry to type in
Ticking things off in the store is the only upkeep. It learns what you keep around.
No lock-in
Your recipes are yours. Export the whole box any time, archived ones included.
Fair questions
All questions and answersWhat if I only have a handful of recipes?
It still fills the week, repeating a meal rather than leaving a night empty. Paste a link to import a recipe from a recipe site, add Pizza night or Leftovers with one tap, or save real recipes from the starter library.
Does it read my calendar?
Only if you turn that on, and only on your phone. Your phone looks at when you are busy between 5 and 8 pm and sends us one number: the minutes you have to cook that night. Event names and details are never sent.
Is it a guarantee for food allergies?
No. It leaves out meals whose ingredient names match your list, which catches a lot and can miss things. Always read labels and check ingredients yourself.
