How do I delete my Kangaroo Kitchen account?
In the app, open Settings, tap Delete account at the bottom and confirm twice. On iPhone, Settings is the last tab. On Android, it opens from the round account button at the top right. Export your meals first, because deletion can't be undone.
Updated
In the app
- Open Settings. On iPhone, it is the last tab. On Android, tap the round account button with your initial at the top right of Plan, Meals or Grocery.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm twice: Continue, then Delete. The second one is your last chance to export your meals.
- You are signed out on every device and your account is gone.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in details: your email address and any link to your Google or Apple account. If you used Sign in with Apple, we also tell Apple to disconnect the app.
- If you are the only person in your household: the household and everything in it. That means recipes, plans, grocery check-offs, the pantry and your who-you-cook-for answers.
- If someone else is still in your household, the shared recipes and plans stay with them. You lose access, and your email is removed from the household.
All of this happens right away, while you wait. Copies in our database backups expire within 30 days.
Before you go
Your meals are yours. In Settings, Export meals saves every meal you keep as a file, archived meals included. Do this first, because deletion can't be undone.
Can't get into the app?
Message us from the Support page using the email address on your account. We will send a code to that address to confirm it is you, then delete the account for you.
