How does Kangaroo Kitchen handle allergies and diets?
You pick your household's allergies and diets once, and we never suggest a meal with an ingredient on that list. Matching works on recipe and ingredient names, so it can miss things. It is not a food-safety guarantee. Always read labels and check ingredients yourself.

Setting them
- When you first sign in, the app asks four questions: how many people you cook for, allergies, diets, and dislikes with your priorities.
- To change them later, open Settings, then Who you cook for.
What each one does
- Allergies and diets are left out of every Fill my week suggestion, even when your box is small.
- Dislikes show up less often but are not banned.
- In the library, a recipe that breaks one of your allergies or diets carries a warning.
The allergy list covers the nine major US food allergens, and you can type in your own.
